    Software Driver Versions CD 4.4 Release Notes

    NOTE: To successfully use the Kodak i600 TWAIN driver version 9.x with the Kofax VirtualReScan(VRS) v4.2 product you must first download and install the "VRS 4.2 Kodak i600 Update" (Kodaki600Update.exe) update from the Kofax web site at http://www.kofax.com/support/IP/VRS/4.2/4.2_downloads.asp. If this Kofax update is not installed any attempts to use this version of the Kodak i600 TWAIN driver with Kofax VirtualReScan(VRS) will cause a message indicating a problem with the version of the Kodak TWAIN driver.

    Installing the scanner drivers from the link on the bottom of this page will install the latest SVT (Scanner Validation Tool), TWAIN Data Source, the latest ISIS Driver and the latest WIA/STI drivers for the i600 Series Scanners.

    Operating System tested on: Microsoft WIN2K, WINXP pro, VISTA (32bit only)

    Dependencies: Microsoft .Net 2.0 and Microsoft Installer 3.x

    Please be aware that both the TWAIN and ISIS device drivers have new Graphical User Interfaces.

        * Applications using either GUI will notice significant changes.
        * Be sure to backup your system before updating to this new version.
        * It is recommended that if you are using either GUI you review the Image Processing Guide (A-61504) which can be found utilizing the tabs: Support > User Manuals. This will explain these changes.

    Software Driver Versions included in the latest SVT:

        * TWAIN driver: 9.25.5
        * ISIS driver: 2.0.10711.12001
        * Scan Validation Tool: 6.10
        * WIA/STI driver: 1.3 (signed)

    ISIS Driver Update
    This updated ISIS driver has been developed and tested by Pixel Translations (a Captiva Company) for use with all ISIS enabled host applications. This driver will be incorporated in to the Kodak “InstallSoftware_i600...” package in a following release. The following Release Notes detail the changes in this update. For new installs the “InstallSoftware_i600...” package should be installed first. To update to this new ISIS driver unZip all files to a folder on the Scanner host PC and execute setup.exe.
