Why Microfilm is Needed
There are two needs:
•To keep digital files alive, usable, and reprocessable.
•To keep digital files frozen in time and unalterable.
Why Is It Needed?
•Legal requirements dictate document retention from years to
permanent.
•Governmental regulations around commerce operations,
products and safety.
•Corporate requirements to assure contracts and reduce
liability.
•Cultural requirements to assure future generations benefit from
prior generations.
Reasons to Choose This Solution?
•Digital files do not survive without migration.
•Migration is costly and consumes scarce resources without
adding value.
•Migration introduces the potential for error and loss to the files.
